Fine Civil War US CARTRIDGE BOX Plate. Overall in very nice condition with light patina. Reverse has both iron loops attached with dark olive patina. The plate is heavy with even lead filled on the back. Does not overlap the edge of the brass buckle. A great historic piece!

1863 Confederate Currency. The $5 note depicts the Virginia State Capitol and Christopher Gustavus Memminger, 1st Confederate States Secretary of the Treasury. Known as “Blue Backs” with a fanciful design. Type T-60 (less common) with hammer cut cross cancellations, red October, 1863. Nice margins.

Unused- Civil War Cover. “An Original Secessionist”, printed in blue ink. On small beige ladies’ envelope with lovely fine filigree design on the back flaps. Depicting a South Carolina alligator caricature in blue. An original secessionist is ardently devoted to the Southern cause. Very scarce! Excellent condition. A delightful museum quality piece!

Unused- Civil War Cover. Depicting a seedy devil with large wings and tail coveting a large jar labeled “C.S.A. Whiskey” marked with a poison symbol, and a Confederate flag sticking out of it. Printed during the Civil War symbolizing mostly pro-Union and anti-Confederate themes. Beautiful contrasting colors. Incredible eye-catching depiction. Very scarce!  Excellent condition. A delightful museum quality piece!
